Got a question?
No problem.

Bandit’s Model SG-40 is built to be the perfect solution for grinding stumps in tight and restricted areas not accessible by larger models. The SG-40 can quickly track in, grind the stump with its capable 18″ cutter-wheel and track out.

The rubber track undercarriage is friendly to delicate lawns, but sturdy enough to track through rough fields to hard to reach stumps.

Roaming Goat Stump Grinding FAQ’s

Will the machine be able to access my back garden?

The Bandit SG-40 is 29” wide and 8ft long. So a gateway of 30 inches is no problem. Garden steps can be overcome using ramps. And there is some flexibility with the length as the grinding head pivots. However if in any doubt measure any tight spots and contact us directly and we can advise on our ability to access your site.

How much will it cost me?

Prices start from £50 but please contact us with your address size of stump or stumps. Pictures will also help us give you an accurate quote. We also try to combine stump grinding in similar areas to save on costs and this saves our customers money.

How soon can I expect to have the work carried out?

We aim to come and complete the work within two weeks of you accepting the quote. We also complete the work in one visit.

Would there be any reason for my stump to be uncompleted?

It will always be fully removed unless there is a problem with the stump such as concrete or metal embedded in the tree stump. The machine can only grind wood and if large foreign objects are hidden in the stump these will cause damage and the grinding will have to cease. This is unusual and the exception to the rule.

Will you come out urgently or within a day or two?

Yes we do respond to urgent calls. These will cost more as traveling to just one site will need to be included in the price.

What if I don’t know where cables run in my garden?

It is helpful for you to tell the operative where any buried amenities are, but these will be scanned for with cable avoidance equipment to minimise the risk of damage.

Do you use any saws or other equipment?

No we do not use chainsaws or any other cutting tools. We do use a leaf blower to tidy up the site after the grinding is complete.
