Yes and No! As shown in the pictures the stump and roots are ground up into small chips and mixed in with the surrounding soil. This always makes a much bigger heap than you imagine! However the ‘mess’ is just in the location of the stump. These arisings are left for the client to use as they’re a great commodity for the garden, either for flower beds or filling pots.
A powerful leaf blower is used to tidy up any debris between the van and the stump. If very wet the bandit can leave indentations on the surface it tracks over but as it only weighs 3/4 of a tonne they soon recover.
